Jude Fitzgibbon

Head Teacher

Kia Ora Whanau, I’m Jude.  I have been a part of the team here for  nearly 8 years where I started as a part time teacher with my role soon evolving to being  head teacher.   I have lived in Rolleston with my husband and three children for the past 12 years and spend most of my time  chauffeuring  my children to their sport venues where I usually end up being a parent helper.

We have recently welcomed a new  addition to our family,  our puppy Benji who also takes up a lot of my time.  I love the unpredictability that each day offers here with nga tamariki and value  my role in guiding and supporting their growing  interests during  this crucial time of their development.

Whangia ka tupu, ka puawai, that which is nurtured blossoms and grows.

No Dunsandel ahau

My name is Jenna Wills and I have been working at Dorie Preschool now for almost 2 years and currently working through my teacher registration.

Respectful relationships with tamariki and whānau are what is most important to me, this gives the tamariki in my care a great sense of belonging where they are able to grow, learn and have fun.

I believe in providing the tamariki the space and time they need to explore on their own and become independent while also being there to support their needs. I absolutely love my job as a teacher, and i am excited to part of your tamariki learning journey.

Jo Dennett

Kea/Kiwi

Hello, my name is Jo

I’m a very active reliever at the preschool and have been here for 2 years.  I have lived in Rakaia for 14 years with my family, and have been involved with sport and clubs with my 3 children.

I enjoy walking and I have a list of walks I have achieved and many more I’d like to do.

Working with children and watching imagination and creative skill grow through activities and play, watching children learn and achieve, for me is one of the best feelings.

Trudy Fifita

Kea/Kiwi

I am Trudy Fifita,

All three of my children attend Dorie Preschool with my youngest finishing April 2019.

I have lived in Chertsey for the past 12 years with my children and wee pug Loki

I started working at Dorie as lunch cover but discovered when interacting with the children that I felt I had found what i was to do for my career. Four years later I still love my job and intend on starting my journey to become a qualified teacher soon.

I have so much passion for seeing children develop into confident and competent learners exploring their environment and testing their abilities, I love the look on their faces when they achieve their goal and you can see how proud they are, I get just as excited as they do.
