Pip Gordon

Centre Leader

Hi everyone my name is Pip I am a fully registered teacher and have been teaching for 15 years. I have been a part of the Dorie team for the last two years and have really enjoyed
getting to know your children and the community.
I live just out of Rakaia on 5 acres with my partner Alan and my two children Sophie 16yrs
old, Jack 12yrs old.

In my spare time I enjoy getting outside and going boating, walking & biking. Spending time
with my family and friends is important to me. I like watching movies and relaxing with a
good book.

I love working with children and I am passionate in seeing children grow and learn in their
individual ways.

explore with a variety of learning experiences.
I look forward to getting to know the children & families in the community.

Jo Dennett

Nursery Teacher

Kia ora, my name is Jo I started at Dorie Community Pre school as a reliever which then grew into a permanent teaching position.

I now work full time in the nursery but do come and teach in the over two’s as needed and really enjoy my time in both room. I have lived in Rakaia for 15 years with my family, and have been involved with sport and clubs with my 3 children. I enjoy walking and I have a list of walks I have achieved and many more I’d like to do.

Working with children and watching imagination and creative skills grow through activities and play, watching children learn and achieve, for me is one of the best feelings.
